"Gerne besuchen wir regelmäßig das Schleusenhaus in Sondernheim. Etwas abgelegen und mit den Fahrrad besser zu erreichen als mit dem Auto, liegt es in den Rheinauen und direkt am Rad- und Wirtschaftsweg, der Sondernheim und Hördt verbindet. Die Speisekarte ist übersichlich und alle Speisen sind sehr lecker und auch preiswert. Insbesondere wer die pfälzer Küche mag, kommt hier auf seine Kosten. Tagesmenü gibt es am Mittwoch und am Sonntag. Bilder sind vom letzten Mittwoch. Montag und Dienstag ist geschlossen. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und freundlich, wobei grundsätzlich Selbstbedienung vorgegen ist, was aber niemand daran hindern sollte hier vorbeizuschauen. Zusammengefasst eine nette Location, leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service… was will man mehr."

"Das Schleusenhaus war bei unserem Besuch aus Irland wirklich fantastisch, es hat eine super Atmosphäre und die Speisen und Getränke sind richtig gut - authentisch pfälzisch - mit fairen Preisen. Der Käse-Sahne Kuchen war die Krönung zum Schluss. Rundum 10/10! Nächstes mal kommen wir definitiv wieder."

"wir sind oft im Scheusenhaus zu Gast und wir lieben die Pfälzer Küche. Das gesamte Team ist super freundlich und die Speisen sind sehr lecker. Es muss nicht immer eine endlose Speisekarte sein, wichtig ist die Qualität stimmt und da gibt es im Schleusenhaus nichts zu beanstanden. Es freut uns sehr, dass es mit dem neuen Pächter Rainer, der übrigens auch sehr freundlich ist, die Öffnungszeiten erweitert wurden. Schön, dass es solche Lokalitäten mit humanen Preisen noch gibt, Daumen hoch und verdiente 5 Sterne. Erich Ritter"

"Das Schleusenhaus ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte in Südwesten: es wird gute Qualität bei Essen und Getränken verarbeitet, es schmeckt gut und das zu einem sehr überschaubaren Preis. Mein Höhepunkt – und deswegen auch einer meiner Lieblingsorte - ist Rainer, der Wirt, und seine unterschiedlichen Gäste. Auch der Ort schafft ein richtig gutes zwischenmenschliches und damit kommunikatives Klima – es ist einfach und macht mir sehr viel Freude in Kontakt zu kommen. Dafür fahre ich mit meinem Fahrrad sehr gerne die ~35km von Karlsruhe aus zum Schleusenhaus – gleich wieder!"
